The website says state returns are an additional fee when using the Deluxe version. Does it offer the option to paper file for free or is paying the only option?

Paper filing is not free. Online TurboTax fees are for the use of the software--e-filing is not an extra fee. You pay whether you e-file or mail it in an envelope.

Yes, you can file your Federal for Free, but elect to just print your state without filling it electronically. I do that every year.

On Edit, whoops.

I'm referring to the PC version of the software, not the Web Only version.

@rwynkoop That is only in the Desktop CD/Download program. The Online versions work different.
