The system is only giving me $500 for my qualifying child who should be worth $2000. AM I just screwed since I can't afford premium? Should I just go to H&R Block?

If the child is age 17 or older in 2019 then they are no longer eligible for the Child Tax Credit. They are only eligible for the Other Dependent tax credit.
