The OH Adoption Tax credit carryover is missing entry from 2023 and regardless of what I do fails to give me the correct amount. How can I correct this?

The worksheet asks for carryover data from 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The program was replaced in 2022 but I'm still permitted to apply unused credits for 5 years. It doesn't ask for a carryover amount from 2023, which would be needed to apply the correct amount. If I shift everything back a year to make it all fit I end up with a credit > than my final carryover amount.

Instead of entering the carryovers from each year, just enter the unused carryover from the year in which your Adoption Credit originated. So you'd leave all the boxes blank and only enter the unclaimed amount from that particular year. That should give you the correct credit for 2024.
