I just did this on my own desktop version and it worked fine for me. you see, it did not check off whether you were born after 1952. The 1st thing I would do is to look at the errors symbol on the top right and fix whatever error appears on the bottom.
For illustrative purposes, the message will appear on the bottom of the forms like this
After you clear the errors/ or there weren't any errors. I would delete the spouse's personal information on her input and reenter everything from scratch. See where this takes you. You might have missed something there. Also include her occupation too.
Thanks, but I am using the online version, not desktop. There are no errors listed, it passes the check fine.
I deleted the state return and redid it, it still was check marked when I saved and looked at the pdf file. Being online, we cant see that until after we are done. TTax has reached out and is checking.
To get this box unchecked, I had to say that she was NOT retired as of 01-01-2013, even though she was.
The dollar amounts are the same.
