The IRS doesn't show my electronically filed Federal return. What should I do?

Was your return accepted? When you file you return, you will receive 2 emails, the first one confirms the transmission and the second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. If your return was rejected, you can fix it and resubmit it.

The IRS doesn't show my electronically filed Federal return. What should I do?

@CSGOLLIDAY Assuming - You received an acceptance email from TurboTax but the IRS shows no information available.

 

You need to:

  1. Log into your return and verify that your return was accepted by the IRS. If rejected, correct and refile.
  2. If accepted, get the DCN, Declaration Control Number, from TurboTax.  You can fill this form out for someone to call you.
  3. Call the IRS and give them the DCN so they can trace your return. IRS customer support, 1-800-829-0922, is available Monday through Friday from 7AM to 7PM.
