Before i could file, I had to pay using credit card, I paid $59.99, but why is there an option of deduct from my refund for only $39.99 ? That`s misleading

The $39.99 is an additional fee if you choose to have it deducted from your refund. The refund is sent to a third party bank from the IRS. They send us our fees and send the rest to you. It is against the law for a business like TurboTax to receive IRS refunds directly.
