Online form to purchase does not recognize my phone number says it is invalid

TurboTax uses phone numbers for identity purposes so it may be looking for an old phone number you've previously entered. If it is not recognizing any of your current numbers, you will want to update the number. Here are the steps (from https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900724-how-do-i-update-my-turbotax-account-information😞 

"To update your TurboTax (non-Advantage) account email, phone number, mailing address, or password:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax and select Intuit Account on the left, just above "Sign Out" (you may need to scroll down; click or tap the 3 white lines or Tax Home if you still don't see this).
  2. This will open your Account.
  3. Select Edit next to the information you want to change."

When you return to the form to purchase after changing your number, it should recognize the new one.

Thanks for explaining-- I didn't expect that you could edit the field but wanted to check to make sure. Some software requires formatting a number with or without dashes, as an example of what I meant. In any case, unless others are able to chime in here, the quickest way for you to get help may be to contact the TurboTax customer service specialists:
1. Select Help in the upper-right corner.
2. Select Contact us at the bottom.
3. Select Talk one-on-one: Follow the instructions to call us, get a callback, or schedule a call (options vary depending on your question).
