My husband died in 2017, can I e-file the taxes

My husband died in December of 2017. Am I allowed to file my taxes by  e-file, or must it be by paper filing?

You may try to e-File. In some cases it works, and in others, it won't work, at which point you'd have to file on paper via US Mail. Surely, SS Admin has already been notified.
