I need to apply for an extension and mail in one of my returns but it's not letting me because I've already filed my other returns

I've lived in multiple states. Two of them have already been e-filed and for some reason I have to mail in the return for the last state. The tutorials I've seen were for people who didn't already finish their taxes. Can you please help and tell me how to get an extension having already finished most of my taxes save for one? Thank you in advance!

I need to apply for an extension and mail in one of my returns but it's not letting me because I've already filed my other returns

UPDATED FOR TAX YEAR 2019

Because of the COVID-19 situation, the deadline for filing a NJ return has been extended to July 15, 2020.

Since you are asking for an extension only for a state return (and not the federal) the easiest path is to go to the NJ website.  You can file an extension request online until 11:59 p.m. on July 15, 2020, or print Form NJ-630 and mail it by 11:59 p.m. on July 15. Remember, if you mail Form NJ-630 it must be postmarked by July 15, 2020.
