If the parents that I nanny for want to claim my pay as childcare, do I file a 1099 as other income?

If they gave you a 1099-Misc then you will enter this as income from Self-Employment.

If they did not give you a 1099, then you will just use your records of what they paid you to enter it as Self-Employment Income. 

To enter Income from Self-Employment do the following:

1. Click Federal
2. Income and Expenses
3. Scroll down click Show More next to Self-Employment
4. Click Start next to Income and Expenses
5. Walk through the questions and TurboTax will guide you through entering your income from working as a Nanny
