So it's this problem again (I know others have had it, I've had it in years past with turbotax). Why don't they fix this?! Do they want to get paid or not?!
I just wanted to buy the TurboTax self-employed online version ($120), that's it. I tried multiple credit cards on two different browsers. I disabled all sorts of security features in these browsers (which I shouldn't have to do), I made sure cookies were enabled, I disabled autofilling of information in case that was screwing things up. Nope. Nothing words, turbotax keeps saying:
"We are sorry, we are having trouble authorizing your credit card. Please verify your billing address, card number and CVV and try again."
All the information IS correct, there's nothing wrong with my cards.
So I got customer service to call me. She couldn't do anything, couldn't do the transaction for the product I wanted over the phone, couldn't fix the credit card processing software or whatever the issue was, couldn't fix the problem.
So what do I do now?

Apple's official support site doesn't appear to contain instructions for clearing the cache in Safari. Your best bet is to search the Internet for clear Safari cache or similar search terms.
None of that works! I've tried what you suggested in both Chrome and Microsoft Edge on my desktop computer, then I tried it on Chrome from my iPhone. I have tried FOUR DIFFERENT CREDIT CARDS. I get the same error message every time. This is a problem ON YOUR END.

Nevermind, I have a solution: H&R Block offers exactly the same sort of service as Turbotax at the same price and their reviews are better, I just got an account with them and will be using their service from now on.
Same exactly here. I went through this several years ago, as well. Looks like I will need to switch companies, too.

I verified info, used multiple valid credit cards, cleared cache in Firefox, turned off my VPN, TT still won't take my credit card and I DONT WANT TO PAY A $40 processing fee to have you take the fee out of my Refund

Are you getting a specific error message when trying to pay? Please post the additional details here in the thread and someone will reach out with the next steps.
I have got the same message past 2 years and end up having to mail the state and pay for Auditdefense separately.

It has been frustrating to say the least after talking to support.

Same issue for me. First time its happened. Switched to H&R Block -- much better and more affordable service! IDK why anyone is using Turbotax anymore?
