I made 3 early estimated 2022 tax payments in EFTPS. I went into EFTPS and made 1 more 2022 Tax year payment in March 2023.
My March 2023 EFTPS entry does reflect the payment was for "Estimated 1040ES, Tax Period 2022".
I am getting conflicting information on whether my March Tax payment count for the 2022 as taxes paid or next time (2023 year)? I am told tax payments in 2023 do not count for Tax year 2022?
