@rhfritz I do know that TurboTax is having delays in assimilating state forms. This is a TurboTax issue and is being investigated. So sorry for the inconvenience. I'd recommend waiting a week or so to see if you then can successfully e-file your MD return.
It won't let me file separately
@bstout04 Try this: When you get to your state return, change the method of filing to "File by Mail". You should then be able to e-file your federal return alone. Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, you can go back into your program and change the filing method for your state return BACK to e-file.
Thank you! I was able to file my Federal Taxes and my GA taxes from the time I lived there. E-filing is not yet available in NC. Will be checking back in a couple weeks. Thanks again?
@Steve USA Hallelujah!
Any update on this issue? I am having the same problem, "Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available."
Charlotte NC
Thanks!
Delete state and resubmit. State not accepting taxes yet

Some NC forms (including the main Form D-400) are not yet finalized and available for efiling. Projected availability date is 2/24/2022, according to the availability tables:
State Forms Availability Table:

If you wish, you can efile the Federal return now (if all your Fed forms are available) and efile the NC state return later. To do that, you would need to temporarily change the filing method for the state return and tell TurboTax that you intend to "mail" the state return. Then when the state forms are available you can switch the method back to efile.

If this is NC, the forms are projected to be available 2/24/2022.
You don't have to delete the state return in order to efile the Federal return first. In the FILE section you can instead just temporarily tell TurboTax you intend to "mail" the state return. Then when the state forms are available, you can switch the filing method back to efile the state return.
Yes you can choose the option to only file your federal taxes and file state later. It is only a state issue therefore do not file them together. Hope I explained it correctly.
This doesn't work for me as my federal was already transmitted and accepted two weeks ago. Still saying 2021 Tax Transmissions are not available when I try to file State for NC of course. Guess I just have to keep waiting for the D400 forms I assume? Wasn't like this last year. Don't know what's changed..
Same for me! NC resident, however, after reading this, I tried to just file the federal returns and it won’t allow me to do so with that one either! So frustrating!
On another thread, I found this table indicating the availability of state forms:

Ehats going on
I’m running into the same problem won’t let me e-file because of transmission problem how long will it take to get solved?
