Mine is saying the same thing tried again just now and still nothing. I've been trying to file them for the last 3 days now. From what I've came up with in the state of NC they are having a problem with getting a certain form ready. I don't know what state your from. Also cause they have changed some tax laws not to long ago here and its also another reason why you can't file yet. I did though apply for Getting emailed when those papers were available and I got the email but it's still saying transmissions not available. I'm kinda ticked off about not getting answers.
I was not trying to post the same comment 7000 times. New at this, I was trying to help the other many lost souls like myself. My apologies!!
My federal return had already been filed successfully. I think the issue for most people on this thread is the email we received (regarding NC state returns) stating that, quote -
"The wait is over! The tax forms we needed to finish up your taxes are ready to go.
Form D-400, Individual Income Tax Return Main Form
Sign in to TurboTax and pick up where you left off to complete your return."
In spite of the date provided by intuit of 2/24/22.
If the NC forms will not be released until 2/24, then who sent the email and why? Was it an error? If so, it's understood, these things happen, but an explanation would be appropriate to avoid all this confusion.
I'm also in NC, running into the same issue. Why can't we submit Federal only?
Thanks

If you want to e-file your federal tax return now then change how you file the NC state return. This assumes that all of the forms and schedules included in your federal tax return are available for e-filing.
If using the TurboTax online editions click on File on the left side of the online program screen. On Step 3 of the File section click on Start or Revisit. Select the button File by Mail. Then change the filing status of the state return.
After the federal return is e-filed and accepted by the IRS you can e-file the state return when it is available for e-filing. Just use the same procedure and change the state return back to e-filing.
D-400 NC is for partial year residence. If you checked full year resident, didn't live or work in a different state or country, why is this form necessary?
Hi there,
I know about that option. My issue is more about not being able to reach a representative after my payment was taken. To be told a representative would call me in a few minutes and have no one call me at all is very unprofessional.
I have no idea why this is happening. I have never heard of this before. I guess this day and age a person has to be ready for anything...smh
How did you get your Federal form to go through? I get the sillly NC error, even for Federal.
Frustrated, and definitely anxious about it.

The North Carolina Form D-400 Individual Income Tax Return is for full year residents.
Go to this NC website for the form - https://www.ncdor.gov/media/12899/open
Part year or non-residents of North Carolina us Form D-400 Schedule PN - https://www.ncdor.gov/media/12907/open
Thanks for your help! The issue was more about turbotax accepting my credit card payment only to be told that I can't file. It would have been nice to speak with someone and not be lied to.
The exact same thing happened to me. At least you were able to speak to someone.
Sounds like you are having trouble with form availability. For an updated list of form release dates please click here.
I'm having the same problems and from NC

The North Carolina Individual Income Tax Return Form D-400 is not yet available for e-filing. It is estimated to be available on 02/24/2022
Go to this TurboTax website for North Carolina state forms availability - https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotax_nc_online_individual.html
