Tax Topic 152

I do not have any dependent children anymore so I did not use form 1095a this year since he is not a dependent. My fear is that they will be looking for this again, was I supposed to include this form since he was not a dependent in 2021? I have my own healthcare and never used Obamacare but he did.

If your tax return was accepted, and you did not have insurance through the marketplace for anyone on your tax return, then no, you should not include a 1095-A on your return.  The IRS is rejecting returns that should include the 1095-A.

If he was covered, then he will need to enter the form on his return.
