Switch from download to online

I switched from HRB to Turbotax Premier because of integration that only seems to work with the online product (?). This wasn't well communicated before my purchase of the download product. I found instructions about how to make the switch from download to online, but it says you can't do it on the current year's tax form. So how do I put the money I spent on the (useless) download toward an online subscription? The support lines have been a complete dud.
