During 2019 tax season, I submitted forms by US mail due to having to pay taxes. During 2020 season, identifying both my wife's and mine proper adjusted gross income, pin, and state driver's license numbers, the return was not accepted due to a reported error in the identification. I did not receive a workable response in 2020 tax season, and subsequently submitted via US mail. Same thing is happening for the 2021 tax season. I have double checked, and also had a second person double check the entries, the adjusted gross income, pin, and driver's license information which is correct. How do we get the return to be accepted?

IF the Mailed-in 2020 tax return did not get processed promptly, the 2020 AGI may not be in the E-file computers.
Supposedly you don't use both a PIN and an AGI . Just one or the other.
(Exception...a 6-digit IP-PIN must be entered, but that's in a separate place)

IF you have a valid/existing 5 digit PIN, try that first.
IF that doesn't work, use the AGI instead....but use a Zero "0" for the 2020 AGI !!
Your AGI might not have made it into the system. Try either answering that you did not file last year, or try using 0 as the AGI.
