Statement A - QBI Pass-Through Entity Reporting

I am competing my 1120S return on TurboTax Business 2021.  The S Corp is solely owned by me.  In performing the check before filing, TurboTax is asking that I enter the shareholder EIN into the Statement A - QBI Pass-Through Entity Reporting form.  I am an individual, and it will not allow entry of my SSN, as it automatically places the dash for an EIN.  I noticed that the form differs from last year's form and the form shown in the IRS instructions (2021) for the Statement A, both of which ask for the "Shareholder's identifying no."  I have not been able to locate another Statement A.  Is there a solution?

Thanks.

Enter Forms Mode and look for your Schedule K-1 Worksheet.

Enter (or re-enter) the SSN on the K-1 Worksheet for the shareholder.

The entry should appear on Statement A (as an SSN).

I re-entered my SSN twice and also verified that the "individual" was selected on shareholder entity type, but the form is still asking for an EIN.

I cannot reproduce the error you are experiencing. You may have to contact Support.

What is the TurboTax phone number? (intuit.com)

Ensure that your shareholder information is correct (in the Business Info tab).

I have exactly the same issue. Asking for EIN of the Shareholder even the shareholders are individuals. Not sure how to proceed.

After spending hours trying everything recommended and that I could think of, I ended up deleting the return and completing a new return.  It worked correctly the second time.

So...  I recalled that I had not run the error check on the return.  When I did, it reverted back to the form requesting the EIN.  The bug must have something to do with the error check process.  I hope that someone can come up with an answer or TurboTax fixes the issue before I must file this return.

I have exactly the same issue.   Cannot enter in shareholder name either to complete the return to efile.  Completing a new return does not resolve the glitch.

It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2021" file that is experiencing this issue.

You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information.  If you would like to do this, here are the instructions:

At the top menu in the black line at the top of the page go to Online.

  1. From the menu, select Send Tax File to Agent.
  2. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is.  Click Send and then you will get a Token number.
  3. Reply to this thread with your Token number. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.

We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
