State Filing for K1

Hello.  I received a K1 from a pass through partnership established in CA and one in MD.  Turbo Tax did not prompt me to file Non-resident state filings in those states, but someone has advised me that I need to submit returns even though I myself did not reside or work in those states.  Do I need to file for those states?  Is there something in turbo tax that would prompt that?

-Thank you in Advance

You might have to file, but you need to check the threshold filing requirements for each state.

In TurboTax, you also need to indicate that you made money in other states and then select those states from the dropdown list.
