Ok, this is upsetting me, you are asking me to pay $25.00 to file my electrotonic State Tax, and it will be deducted from my federal refund, and I will be charge $40.00 for processing the $25.00 so will be a total de $65.00 deducted from my Federal refund and I pay $67.oo for the program to do my taxes, so it is a Total de $132.00 that I have to pay to do my State Tax?  I do not think it is correct

Stop.   Do not agree to that $40 refund processing fee to have the $25 taken out of your refund.  You do not have to do that.   In fact, you can avoid the state e-file fee if you print and mail your state return instead of e-filing it.   I have been mailing state returns for years instead of e-filing them.   Just print and mail the state.

But if you want to e-file it-----look very closely at the two boxes on the screen for choosing whether to take the fee from your refund... The box to the left is the one you can click to just pay the $25 using a credit or debit card to avoid the $40 extra fee.
