After I entered all income next screen asked me to enter state estimated tax payments. This was before I even went to the deductions and credits page which I thought was very strange and now on the INCOME page the last listing is Estimated tax payments and the amount I paid--so it is showing these payments as income!!!
On the deductions page in the column for state estimated taxes paid it also has the amount. So the TT software is showing the amount as both income and deduction. I got a TT person on the phone but she could not help me and even the person above her was unable to help me even though they could see on the INCOME page the payments were listed as income. I do not feel comfortable with proceeding. Has anyone else encountered this.

I cannot recreate your issue in a test return. It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2022" file that is experiencing this issue.
You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions:
In TurboTax Online, go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.
In TurboTax CD/Download versions, go to the black panel on the top of your screen and select Online.
Reply to this thread with your Token number. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
I followed the instructions and did click on Share the File with an agent and got a message back with a token number. I then clicked on reply and sent a message with the token number.
Today I got a message telling me "there was a temporary problem delivering your message to turbotax.cm.turbotax.intuit.com". Gmail will retry for 47 more hours. You will be notified if the delivery fails permanently.
I am feeling very frustrated.
Yeah, I see it there (See picture below)...but I checked the form 1040 and it isn't included anywhere that I could see, but as a credit on line 26 of the Form 1040
_______
Must be a page display screw-up in the Online software. It never gets posted as income on the actual 1040.
_______
@AliciaP1 Might be a good idea to report this to the programmers, to get it displayed only on the Deductions&Credits page.....it could confuse a lot of folks.
I really don't recall seeing it there a few weeks ago, but then I wasn't paying close attention to that area in particular.
Also on the income page the total figured by Turbo Tax for Interest and Dividends is incorrect. I have added everything 3 times and TT is off by $194.
This is making me very uncomfortable about using Turbo Tax this year. There is something wrong with the
online program. I have never had a problem in the past.
Could you send a sanitized version of your tax file to us for review? All of your personal information would be concealed, we would only be able to see the figures that you entered in TurboTax.
Token #1096780
File was shared with agent.
INCOME PAGE
Dividend and Interest total by Turbo Tax is incorrect. I have added all entries three different times. My total
is $195 more than Turbo Tax.
@acmehike It's really hard to know exactly what that main screen "Summary" includes (and it is just a generic gross summary)
The main screen 1099-DIV and -INT summary total includes :
(assuming you didn't put in any stock 1099-B transactions, or 1099-OID, 1099-K or Crypto stuff):
1) For a 1099-DIV....all of boxes 1a Plus 12 of the 1099-DIV, but NONE of boxes 2a,b,c,d (other boxes...not sure)
2) For a 1099-INT...all of boxes 1 + 3 + 8 (MINUS boxes 11, 12, (and minus accrued interest for boxes 1 or 3, but maybe not accrued interest for box 8))
_______
So, the "Summary" total may not be including everything you think it does, and may not show on the form 1040 exactly as you think it might.
