Starting TurboTax 2024 on Windows 11

My problem is similar to JeffS57's, but a little different.  I had installed TurBoTax on my Windows 11 desktop and it was working fine.  I go back to it a few days later to add more info, and when I click on the icon, the normal program screen comes up and then it goes to a message that says "Looks like we have encountered an error.  This may cause you to lose some of the data you entered."  The only other thing on that screen is a place to put your email address, and to send feedback as to what you were doing, and hit send.  Nothing else.

There had not been any other program installations in that time period, only a Windows 11 update which did include some lines about Visual C++.

I have tried it many times and have researched without any answers.  Calling the Intuit number is no help.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried this? How to Switch Out of 'S' Mode for Windows 11.

The TurboTax Support folks can get into your computer to help diagnose individual issues.  Maybe try a different 'option' when you call.

I have briefly seen some discussions on the Microsoft forum addressing TurboTax but can't point to anything specific for you.
