Standard or Itemized Deductions

Is there a quick and easy way to compare what the tax situation would be under itemized deductions in TurboTax?  It has automatically selected Standardized and it would appear my itemized would exceed my standard amounts.

When you click Wrap Up Tax Breaks in Deductions & Credits, TurboTax will show you a comparison between the standard and itemized deductions.

1. Tap Federal in the left column
2. Select Deductions & Credits at the top
3. Tap Wrap Up Tax Breaks in the bottom right corner
4. You will see Based on what you just told us, the Standard Deduction is best for you
5. Select Show me the breakdown of my itemized deductions

Keep in mind, state and local tax deductions are capped at $10,000.

You can also change your deduction type.
