Solar Tax Credit

I live in California - I bought my house in 2019 with Solar. I claim the solar tax credit on my 2019 tax return. If I install a new solar system onto the same house, will I be able to claim the solar tax credit on the new system?

Yes you can.

It is not clear to me that you would qualify if you replace the previous system with a new system.  That would need a more expert review.  If you are installing new additional capacity, that clearly qualifies.

The existing solar system will not be remove, I want to add a new separate solar system.
