Why did I not get my Solar Panel credit.

The first things that occurs to me is that you didn't have any tax to apply the credit to.

This credit is a "nonrefundable" credit, that is, it can reduce your tax but not below zero. So if your tax is zero, your credit is zero.

What is the tax on line 16 on your 1040?
