So last year I worked for myself and filed the self employed which charged me well this year it is a simple return and I was still charged can I get a refund?

Turbo tax started my return on its own I didn't know it automatically chose self employed due to a prior year return

TurboTax Free Edition (and TurboTax Live Basic) are intended for taxpayers with very simple returns that can fit on the new 1040 form without any schedules. Not all taxpayers qualify.
