Hi,
I see a figure greater than $7000 listed in "Other Taxes" row of my 1040 form.
Based on the answer in this post, the only category that applies to me should be NIIT - which should be nowhere this high. Would it be possible to get the breakdown of how this "Other Taxes" value is calculated - I'm using Desktop Premium version.

They are identified on Schedule 2 line 21.

On 1040 line 23? You need to look at Schedule 2 to see what it is from. Are you using Online Premium or the Desktop Premier program? In Desktop switch to Forms mode and open Schedule 2.
Other taxes is listed on your 1040 line 23.

You can view Schedule 2 before you file your taxes.
