I'm going crazy!
The IRS sent me my current year's IP PIN Number. IP PIN number is six (6) digits long.
The field to enter my IP PIN t and efile only five (5 ??) characters long.
I cannot efile because Turbo Tax won't enter the full six digits.
What Gives?

The IP PIN Is not entered in that section that you tried. It sounds like are you on the Signature screen, where you are supposed to sign the return by choosing a 5-digit PIN (any 5 digits), and entering "today's date" and "birth date."
The 6-digit IP PIN is not entered in the File Section. It's entered in the Federal Taxes section by going to "Other Tax Situations" then subtopic "Other Return Info." A shortcut for Online TurboTax was provided by Champ ee-ea in a FAQ above. If you can't find it by that method, or if you are using desktop TurboTax and can't find it, report back for more assistance.

CANCEL this Request... Operator Error
I thought the program was looking for my IP PIN supplied by the IRS, but it was actually asking me to create a PIN of 5 characters to identify my e-signature.
(I know that I should have quit earlier in day, but ADD folks, if we wander away, good chance we never get back in a timely manner to finish the project..)
BAD PIN? go into Turbo app, “Federal Taxes” tab, Other Return Info, Identity PIN then update
My T-tax has a number already 5-digit. IRS sent 6-digit? What do I do?
