How do we sign the e-file document?

You do not physically sign the e-filed tax return.  The 2023 AGI and your Social Security number are used for your electronic signature.

You do not need an actual signature. You can now file a completely paperless return, right down to your signature. You can use a self-selected Personal Identification Number (PIN) just as you would at a bank ATM. The PIN is your electronic signature.
