Can you clarify by providing the state to which you are referring?
Wage income and self-employment income are not the same and they should not be listed together in the same category. If you can clarify which state you are referring to, I can look into it and point you to the right section for self-employment income on your state return.
It is the Oklahoma return.
Oklahoma form 511, State of Oklahoma Income Tax Return, reports your federal adjusted gross income in line 1, and the rest of the form works off of this number. So, your self-employment income would be included in that number and not reported elsewhere on that form.
When I start the Oklahoma state return Turbo Tax brings up 'Total Household Income' which has a section titled, 'wages, salaries, fees, comissions, bonuses'. It only imports my W-2 wages into this box, not my self employment income. I have continued past this, and I don't see my self employment income included anywhere. The only other place I would think it might go would be in the 'other income' section, but I feel like I must be missing something because Turbo SHOULD import that SE income somewhere since it is listed in my federal return.
