Should I report my J1 tax-exemption income in Form-1040

Hi, I am a J1 Resident Alien in 2020, and I am also tax-exempted due to the tax treaty. My W2 form did not show my total income in 1. Wages, tips and other compensation. Should I report my no-tax income in Form 1040, and how to fill the income amount? In which line? When I using the Turbotax, there is no place I can provide my treaty information and tax-exempted income. Thank you.

If your W-2 does not include your exempt income, you do not need to report it or include the Form 8833 Treaty based exempt form to your tax return.

You only need to file Form 8833 if your company includes your exempt-income on tax forms like W-2 or 1099 to the IRS and you pay taxes on it.  If your company did not report it to the IRS, and you qualify for the treaty benefit, you do not need to report the income.
