If you are receiving Social Security disability you should receive a SSA1099 from them. If you do not receive it in the mail very soon, go on the SS website to get it.
Do not try to enter your SSA1099 or RR1099RB as a W-2. Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.
Go to www.ssa.gov You have to create an account with a user name and password.

BUT----if you get SSI----that is NOT Social Security and you do not get a tax document for that. SSI does not get entered anywhere. We have to make sure of what you are getting because so many people say SSI when they really have Social Security.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS AND SSI?
