I just got my Service Dog this year and I am in the process of training her in both Obedience and what I need her service in to help me. I am disabled. I also have a letter from my doctor stating that I do need a Service Dog. I was told that I can deduct her cost for food, medical, etc. under medical. Is that true? And what do I need to do this or do I have all the paper work I need?

That is true. Is disability your only source of income that gets reported on your tax return? If yes, then what is the source of that disability pay? I ask, to help you determine if you are even required to file a tax return.
SSA is my disability as well as Long Term care.
If you receive a 1099-LTC, then the LTC payout is reportable. That does not mean it's taxable. But a tax return will need to be filed.
