I erroneously click on form 1099 R to make am IRA contribution. I realized that form 1099 R was for IRA withdrawal and not contribution. I later found the section to put my IRA contribution however I was prompted to enter information on the 1099 R form although I do not have one. I could not find where to reverse clicking on 1099 R. I could not proceed and was advised to file by mail. I can I correct that so I can e file?

The easiest way to delete an unwanted or duplicate 1099-R is from the Your 1099-R Entries screen.
Related Information:
Try clicking on View on the upper gray bar. Then select Forms. Click on the 1099 R that you want to delete and it will appear on your screen. At the bottom left of the form, you can select the Delete button and the form will then be gone.
You should be able to delete the erroneous form 1099-R. In the download version, click on the Forms icon in the upper right corner of the window. Locate the Form 1099-R you want to delete in the list of "Forms in My Return" and click on the entry. The form should appear in the view panel. Verify that this is the form you wish to remove. If it is, click on the "Delete Form" button at the bottom of the window. I don't recall whether you get a confirmation pop-up, but if you do, respond to it. Once the form is deleted, all the entries will be backed out and your taxes will be adjusted accordingly. You can either add the correct form manually by clicking on the Open Form button at the top and selecting the correct form, or you can click on the "Step by Step" icon in the upper right corner and navigate back to the section you intended to fill in.
