Returning to my return

I completed entering my income on my return a couple of weeks ago.  Now when I want to enter my deductions, the program wants to start all over again from the beginning.  However, if I click on the already entered data button it shows my income is in there somewhere.  Do I just skip to the Deductions section and hope that all will be well?

Returning to my return

Yes, TurboTax will have saved your information.

  1. You can preview the Form 1040 by clicking on Tax Tools in the black menu pane on the left.
  2. Then click on Tools.
  3. Click on View Tax Summary.
  4. Then select Preview my 1040.

Returning to my return

Yes but don't hope, verify.

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend because a TurboTax update changes your return.
