I'm assuming you are a U.S. citizen or resident and are asking about the state residency... Yes - if you lived abroad for 2016, you can choose Foreign/U.S. Possession in (Personal Info section) as your state residence and file a nonresident tax return if you are required to file. The visa status is not relevant; the address is not either as it is used for correspondence purposes.
