Reporting bank interest - 1040NR + 540NR

Hi -

I recently moved to California mid-summer 2024 from Canada.

I filed a 1040NR as I do not meet the substantial presence test, and am in the process of filing my 540NR.

I received a T5 from a USA-bank which I had already reported on my Canadian taxes.

Do I need to report this amount on my 540NR or 1040NR?

Thank you!

No. Since you are a non-resident, you do not need to file any foreign income on a Federal 1040NR or Ca 540NR.
