Hi. - I'm still having issues with the 8915-F form for this year. The two options floating around to delete the form etc. doesn't solve my problem at all. First of all there is not any pages or prompts that ask me to enter the whole amount distributed (I thought I saw that written somewhere that there is). But anyway, the crux of my problem is when I am on the page in question that is asking about the COVID 2020 distribution (Did you Take a 2020 COVID Distribution), it's asking for info from my 2021 return 8915-F which I have. What am I supposed to put in the first box that asks: 2021 Form 8915F, line 11, if you checked the box on that line, enter 0.? On my form I do not have it checked. I have tried putting in the 1/3 amount and tried putting in 0. (even though I don't have it checked). What do I enter in that box? Everything I try I always eventually get the question after the Did you own or control a foreign bank account, trust or financial asset in 2022? that asks again Did you take a disaster distribution at any time between 2018 and 2020? I say "yes" and get You'll need to visit the form 1099-R retirement topic. That's my issue in a nutshell!

You will leave line 11 blank unless you had an entry on your 2021 Form 8915-F (took a disaster distribution in 2021). You will enter 1/3 of the distribution on lines 12 and 13.
If you verified your entries are correct (1/3 of the distribution should be included on line 5b of Form 1040) then you can ignore the message "You'll need to visit the form 1099-R retirement topic."
Please follow these steps to report the 3rd portion of the COVID distribution:
