Refund

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Refund

yes I read it my last reply but I just Want  to know? My refund date was 05/08/2020 and today is 05/19/2020 but still I didn't not get my refund. Also I didn't get any date any update about my tax.?

Refund

@Sanjeevkumar Dehiya You read it---and you understand that TurboTax CANNOT tell you when you will get your refund because TT can only estimate the date.  But you are still asking?  TurboTax does not know. The IRS s not taking phone calls.  All you can do is check the IRS site yourself.   It updates once a day.  You are a few days past your "estimated" refund date.  There are people who have been waiting much longer than that.

My name is sanjeevkumar Dehiya.

I didn't know why are you doing like this.

I file my tax on 5/17/20 but still I didn't get my federal refund tax.i m paying you 119$ I don't know why I m paying you $119 . Because still u don't have any update about my refund tax.

Every time you mail me we gonna debit $119 .

Tell me one thing why should I pay you $119 if I didn't get my federal tax.

First I get my federal tax than I m paying you $119.

So please give me any update about my federal tax.

Refund

Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund?  Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive?  Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account.  TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

Refund

Hello,
I filed my 2019 tax return in april with turbo tax. And chose direct deposit.
My refund has been accepted but still processing by irs.
But my direct deposit bank account has been closed due to low transaction in last few months.
So i would really appreciate your help in changing my direct deposit bank account number. Please provide your assistant as soon as possible.

@Sanjeevkumar Dehiya

Once a return has been accepted by the IRS you cannot change how you want to receive your refund.

If you e-filed:

Banking information for direct deposit is wrong

If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected.  If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it.  The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS.  Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.  Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.

Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information

Waiting is frustrating—refunds are taking longer in many cases.  These are not normal times.  It is not possible for TurboTax to speed up the IRS for you.   They are short staffed; and they are processing millions of tax returns at the same time that they have been burdened with the task of processing millions of stimulus checks.

To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)
