Recovery Rebate Credit

I received my refund but it did not include the recovery rebate credit amount. I was not claimed as a dependent in either 2018 or 2019. Will it come separately?

Did you complete the recovery rebate section when you prepared your 2020 tax return?   The stimulus money is based on your 2020 return, but you had to fill out the recovery rebate section in the Federal Review part of your return.  No, it will not come separately.   When the 1040X becomes available at the end of March, you can amend to claim the credit.

Yes I filled out that portion and assumed that I would receive the credit in my refund but unfortunately I didn’t.
