I want to speak to someone. I filed Feb 14 and I checked back and it said ready to mail. I don't have a printer handy so I need to efile if it's never got my return.

Ready to Mail means you have to print out your return and mail it to the IRS yourself. It has not been filed yet. You can change to e-file. If you are due a refund there is no penalty for filing a late return.
