Last year (2022) I had some reimbursements from friends for vacations and such (We had a Mexico trip where I paid the flights and the hotels and everyone paid me back) and I didn't include it on my taxes because they weren't labeled as business and I didn't get a 1099.

Is it the same this year or has anything changed? 

We did something very similar this year, only it was more expensive and they paid me back a lot more money but it's all personal, nothing was business related. Should I expect a 1099 this year?

Those payments will be treated same as last year but the new rules will apply to payments in 2024. Should you receive 1099-K we will help you report it.
