Windows 10 updates wouldn't work to open existing Desktop Premier 2024; I deleted the Application; now I can't get program reinstalled!

After Windows 10 updates problems I finally solved, I still couldn't get rid of the "Failed to Install Update - Error 1603 - Fatal Error during install." 

Because of Turbotax's shortened hours, I couldn't reach them.  I then stupidly the Application; now I can't get program reinstalled! I have .taxfile for 2024, but it doesn't seem to help to reinstall the program.

I purchased Premier from Costco but can't remember how Turbotax helped me install it.

Does this link help?   How do I get started with TurboTax Desktop?    If you still have the license key, you should be able to install the program 5 times.

I got it to work, but your instructions were too sparse.  There were many other steps I had to take to accomplish it, but at least I was able to get it to work.

I am having a similar problem. I opened TurboTax home and business10/8/2025 and it uploaded updates for 6 minutes. I bought the desktop version from Costco this spring. It is acting like I did not pay. I have spent most of the afternoon on trying to get to data entry with no help number I can see. I only have a week to get taxes done and the yearly dread of the battle trying to get the program to open should not be happening. There needs to be a help number when you can't use what you purchased. Windows 11. I don't like online programs. It is difficult enough with desktop.

I bought the download from Costco for 2024. Since you now have to log in to a Turbo Tax Account, the License Code and download are listed in my Turbo Tax account. Access your downloads here

I had to reinstall my 2024 Windows Home & Business.   I Logged into my Intuit Account - Products and downloaded 2024 again  Windows_PC_TurboTax_Download (2).exe 409,926 kb.   My first download was 1/3/2025 363,627 kb

Installed it. It never asked for my License Code or to download my state. After it installed, it didn't automatically start so I clicked on the Desktop Icon to start. It asked me if I wanted to update. I did and it only updated California (to release 5/8/25).   The new download had the current federal updates. All my returns were listed and opened.
