If there are no other mistakes you should still receive your refund. However you will need to amend your return to include this information on your tax return.

You will not be able to make any changes until your return is processed. You can amend any changes once the IRS has accepted your return. If they reject your return, then you will have the opportunity to make any necessary corrections, add anything that was left off, and resubmit your return. The instructions to amend are below:

Directly from the IRS:  If you’re filing an amended tax return because you owe additional tax, you should file Form 1040X and pay the tax as soon as possible to limit any interest and penalty charges.<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-offers-tips-on-how-to-amend-your-tax-return">https://www.irs.gov/ne...>

I was wondering the same thing. I already filed my taxes and after i received 1095-A form and I did receive premium tax credit for my health insurance. Will I still get my refund on time or have to refile?

The IRS may choose to withhold your refund and possibly issue you a 12C letter. This letter may ask for information pertaining to your 1095-A and the calculation of the Net Premium Tax Credit on Form 8962. This form reconciles the amount of the credit available to you with the amount already received as an Advance Premium Tax Credit. The result could be additional credit owed to you, or you may have to repay any amount already received in advance. Because of either of these results, it is important for taxpayers to include the information from Form 1095-A on their return.

Once you have submitted your return for filing, it is not possible to cancel it. Think of it as dropping your return in the mail. Once it is accepted, you will have to amend to add the form. An amended return must be paper filed. However, if the return is rejected by the IRS, you will have the opportunity to correct it and resend electronically.

Will i still get my refund is i forgot to file my 1095A form? what should i do, wait for the irs to send me a letter?

I forgot my healthcare marketplace information in my taxes this year. I called and was told that my refund was in hold until I provided the information. I faxed that information in yesterday ,2/27. Got accepted 2/1. She said it could be up to 8 weeks, but since I was doing it so early( the correspondence letters have not yet been mailed) I may very well be first in line and it could take just a week days or weeks. How likely is the 8 week timeframe?

@Coolbeans 144

Not terribly likely - the IRS tends to publish very conservative timelines, for the worst case scenario.

It sounds like you have already been speaking to the IRS. Since they are the ones actually doing the processing, I would be inclined to listen to the IRS employee you spoke to. Let's hope that she is correct.

If you received a Form 1095-A it has to be reported to the IRS.  The information on Form 1095-A is used to complete Form 8962.  This link The IRS is requesting Form 8962 for 2019 has information to assist you in filing Form 8962.

you should wait for a letter,

the filing procedure they offer you does not require amending your tax return with 1040X.

Meanwhile you can revise your return and get the 8962 generated.

If after that you owe more tax due, pay it by April 15.

This is what  I was told when I called.

From the information the agent saw( which said healthcare marketplace as an error), I didnt include my 8962 form which is causing my refund to be held, as that is the only error she saw in the return. She said I needed to send in these 3 things:

1040-A Form

Calculated 8962 Form

Handwritten letter explaining why I hadn't recieved my correspondence letter and about us moving to a new address, signed, by me and my wife, who is also on the return.

We faxed them directly to the processing center she provided (in Kentucky I believe).

So with that said, should I call the Tax advocates for help, because I'm facing a serious hardship by next month. But I also dont want to delay the process any further. I just need information. Is there a chance since I was almost first in line for this type of error to be sent for people with EITC to have it manually processed ASAP?

Yes, you will still get your refund.  You will receive a letter from the IRS requesting that you use the information on Form 1095-A to complete Form 8962. You can use TurboTax to prepare your Form 8962.  This link  The IRS is requesting Form 8962 for 2019 has information to assist you in filing Form 8962.

No I understand that. I'm saying is there any way to have it processed faster than 6 to 8 weeks for a simple mistake such as this? I'm being told by the tax advocate office I'm pretty much SOL.

No, unfortunately there is not a way to speed up the processing at the IRS.
