I manually entered what I had from TT to TaxAct. TaxAct is also cheaper. I’m now working on entering things from 2024, just in case TT delays again. Missed opportunity, poor customer transparency, and overall delays are not customer centric services.
I have not verified this yet, but someone posted that they called in and was informed 2/27 date. So far many are waiting on the recent 2/20 update but I am reluctant to trust it until I see it, especially because someone reported 2/27. 4562 not active yet why Depreciation 4562 DELAYED Depreciation and Amortization Form 4562 DELAY Need to expedite form 4562 amortization depreciation or otherwise use another platform
My husband just checked and he says the depreciation schedule is available now. From what I've been reading, looks like the blame goes to the government, not Turbo Tax. They shouldn't have fired half the IRS staff, especially when making so many changes.
It’s working for me now (online version)! I didn’t have to redo my entire tax return to get the form to trigger.
Mine's also "working" but even once I complete everything, it still shows as "Not Started" on the Income page. WTF.
Drum roll............ D&A section is up but now references numbers from my 2024 return that are incorrrect. 🙄
2026 TurboTax rollout is mind-numbingly awful.
TurboTax Online Expert Assist Premium is $159 + State $54 = $213.
H&R Block Premium Includes State and forms for Rental Properties $85.
The best way to show we do not appreciate the lack of communication and how this was handled is by showing there are other alternatives to them.
They have made no attempts to communicate via email that the forms were ready. They have made no attempts to show they appreciate our business. They have made no attempts to give us a cost break. Time to give them a break.
I agree. Lesson learned. It’s good to have options.
