I am having the same problem, still. Turbotax, any idea why you can't update people on this?

@osamarskiy Last time they posted, they said "After Feb 13..." Maybe a while.

Seriously Intuit, you guys need to get your SH9T together.
"Depreciation and Amortization will be ready by February, but likely sooner"
It's Feb 13 and it's still not available.  Next year like many others I'm going with HR Block or someone else.

Still not working on the 14th.  And large SaaS services don't often make updates in the middle of the day that may interrupt services, especially during a big usage season.

Good afternoon i e been waiting too. Im going to assume its not actually ready anywhere. H&R is not ready. Ask Google when H&R will be ready. It says updates are still being made.

Sorry ask Google when and it says not ready. Ask Google if it is and it says yes.

Hi Everyone! So, after about a half hour conversation with an expert, we realized that 2025 Instructions for Form 4562 was published by the IRS on February 11, 2026. This means all other tax filing companies just received this information a few days ago. I suggested they update the Deprecation & Amortization screen to be more clear about what the hold up is so we could all chill out. Link to the IRS instructions for Form 4562 below, you can see at the bottom left of the first page when it was published.

The draft was release last year.   The final version came out.  Other companies seemed to have used the draft.

Either way, horrid set expectations and communication by TT.

There's a glitch with the system, IDK why thy aren't just posting that!! I called It's not anything we can do on our end. It is technically available, it's just not showing it. So when you enter the information and then go back to the main page, it shows not started. But it is. It's complete. As long as all the data saves you should be good. That was what happened to me anyway. I would call they even escalated me to a manager without me having to ask. They were really nice about it.

Ditto.   This should not be taking that long, been waiting on this since end of January.   Only piece remaining for my taxes...   At a minimum update the pop-up with a specific target date!

incredible.. I purchased TTAX Premier in December...TTAX form 4562 timeline for release is still questionable.. that is the only area that I need to complete...Product too expensive for the inability to provide a functioning tax software.  Blame it on BBB...but there should have been a pullback on the release of the product.  Plus the software and verification processes are enough for me to look elsewhere next year..TTax...not good service, not dependable, and no realistic timelines are being kept.. look for a refund.. ?

Why TurboTax is saying the law isn’t “final”

TurboTax 2025 software and website versions use internal modules that need to support IRS Form 4562 (the form for depreciation and amortization). Even though the IRS has released the official 2025 Form 4562 and there are tax law provisions affecting depreciation/amortization under new legislation, the TurboTax interface and calculation engine hasn’t fully implemented that form yet for all scenarios.
In user forums, Intuit employees and customers are reporting that:

The depreciation/amortization section (Form 4562) is not yet available in some TurboTax 2025 products — especially the Home & Business versions for rental property (Schedule E).

Users see messages like “Depreciation and Amortization will be ready by February, but likely sooner” even though it’s mid-February.

Support notes indicate an internal update rollout for that part of the software is coming after February 13, 2026, but timing isn’t certain.

This isn’t because the IRS hasn’t finalized the tax law — rather, the software provider hasn’t finished building the interface and logic for that part of the year’s return yet.

My husband just checked and he says the depreciation schedule is available now. From what I've been reading, looks like the blame goes to the government, not Turbo Tax. They shouldn't have fired half the IRS staff, especially when making so many changes.

It’s working for me now (online version)! I didn’t have to redo my entire tax return to get the form to trigger.

Mine's also "working" but even once I complete everything, it still shows as "Not Started" on the Income page. WTF.
