I too am concerned by this.  I do not want Intuit to have (and save) all my brokerage accounts information, which funds, account numbers and such.  I imagine it's done so that they can use my data , somehow. There is no way to delete an intuit account or so I read.  Too much hacking risks these days.  I probably have over 100 line items to enter from couple different brokerage. Will do manually this year, at the risk of making transcribing mistakes. disappointing.

this answer is non-responsive to the question/concern.

the question isn't "how can I"  its "why must I"?

there's no need for Intuit to be in the middle of this data transfer and increase you're customers security and privacy risk.  please support a direct pathway to import data that doesn't result in Intuit "man-in-the-middling" the transfer.

(we paid good money for turbotax, we're the customer, not the product)

thank you.

why do i have to log into intuit to import from financial brokerage

I am very disappointed Intuit would start requiring this!

This is my very sensitive private financial data and Intuit has no business collecting data from a financial institution as an intermediate!

Looks like I will be shopping for a different tax software package.

This is how intuit treats valuable customers by spying on them

why do i have to log into intuit to import from financial brokerage

Not only is it a royal pain to HAVE TO SIGN-IN TO TURBO TAX in order to import financial information, every single time I try to sign-in, Turbo Tax requires an additional verification code.  So I have to ALSO SIGN-IN TO MY GMAIL account.  Instead of getting easier to use, each year Turbo Tax is becoming more and more of a pain to use.

I don't recall having to do this for my 2021 return.

I find it very intrusive and unless I learn that Turbotax has changed this for 2023, I will definitely use another service.
