Why are you charging me $90 because of a $2 Foreign Tax? This is a little ridiculous.

don't report the foreign tax..... TT charges based on the forms required, not on the amounts on the forms

What edition did you start out in?   Did you start in Free Edition or Deluxe and upgraded to Premier?

If you already upgraded to Premier, then you would need to downgrade to use a lower edition.  Premier is not needed to report foreign tax credit anyway.   Deluxe could handle it, but even then, if $2 in foreign tax is the only thing in your return that required an upgrade from Free Edition to Deluxe, then you could choose not to report the $2 foreign tax and forego that tiny foreign tax credit as NCperson mentioned above.    (BTW, I'm not a tax person, just a fellow user.)

If you haven't already paid (either upfront or out of a Fed refund) or registered, you can use "clear and start over" to choose a different product edition.   See the following FAQ and video:

It won't let me forego the foreign tax credit. I selected "No, I didn't" to the question "Did you pay taxes on income you made while working outside the U.S.?", and the $2 credit still appeared and said it was included. I have no intention on upgrading for $55. Is this a scam?

I'm not a tax person, just a fellow user.   But  "working outside US" is not the only way that a foreign tax entry could have come into play.

You must have entered it somewhere.  For example, was it on a 1099-DIV you reported?   If you have any stocks or mutual funds, they might have held some international positions that paid some foreign tax, and reported it in the "federal tax paid" box of a 1099-DIV.
