Where is my stimulus

Where and when will U get my stimulus payment?

Yes, I filed my 2019 tax return through Turbotax on Jan 29th of this year.

Yes, I used the TurboTax card.

Yes, I still have access to that card and account.

Where is my stimulus check or will I receive mt stimulus payment through TurboCard by TurboTax

Update 4/14/2020

Still haven't received my stimulus payment & no response from TurboTax team via email or phone calls( I've emailed and called TurboTax support. Even tweeted them). I've resigned to the idea that I'm going to have to wait on a paper check at this rate. I'll probably never use this service again.

If you are to receive the federal tax refund by direct deposit on the Turbo Visa card then you will receive the stimulus payment by direct deposit on the Turbo Visa card.

The IRS controls when the stimulus payments will be released.

To help everyone check on the status of their payments, the IRS is building a second new tool expected to be available for use by April 17. Get My Payment will provide people with the status of their payment, including the date their payment is scheduled to be deposited into their bank account or mailed to them.

I had turbo tax take my tax filing fee or turbo tax fee from my refund.  Will my stimulus check go directly into my bank account or does it run through turbo tax?

In order to deliver money as quickly as possible to those who need it, the IRS is sending stimulus payments to eligible taxpayers who filed a tax return in either 2019 or 2018 and chose to receive their refund via direct deposit into their checking account. These taxpayers will automatically have their stimulus payment deposited into the account they received their refund.

We have not yet received confirmation from the IRS on whether they will be putting stimulus payments on prepaid debit cards. However, we have noticed that the IRS has started depositing stimulus payments on some prepaid debit cards for taxpayers that chose to receive their refund through that method in tax year 2019 or 2018. If you received your refund on a prepaid debit card in tax year 2019 or 2018, here is what you need to know:

  • I have access to my debit card: If you have access to your debit card (most people), there is nothing more you need to do. If the IRS deposits a stimulus payment onto your prepaid debit card, you will be able to immediately use the stimulus funds upon deposit.
  • I don’t have access to my debit card: If you received a notification that you will be receiving your stimulus payment from the IRS on your prepaid debit card and no longer have access to it, we will have information coming shortly. We encourage you to visit this site, where we are continually updating with the latest information and guidance. We know everyone is anxious to get their stimulus money and we are committed to helping our customers get access to their stimulus payment as fast as possible.

I filed my 2019 taxes on April 10th I was charged $110 which came out of my refund which was directly deposited into my bank account. However when it came to my stimulus check, get my payment tool said it needed more information. When I went to add my AGI I accidentally put in the wrong number and when I went back into fix it the IRS site said it would be mailed out on May 1. I don't understand why my tax refund was deposited into my bank account but my stimulus check wasn't? I have been ready through all these messages and I'm terrified I won't receive my check at all!! Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi. I filed my taxes thru Turbo tax. My stimulus check was deposited yesterday on my Turbo Card. I didnt have to do anything. Your card has a specific acct and routing number. If you go to the irs website it will tell you when and to which acct # your stimulus is going. Good luck!

I received my tax refund on a TT visa card. My direct deposit info matched my tax docs. Nonetheless, when I checked the payment portal on irs.gov...it indicated that I was eligible for a stimulus check...however...irs needed my DD info. I listed my bank acct info to be on the safe side. But if i didnt check...id still be waiting on TT to let us know where our money is going. Idk when ill get it. Irs site states payment date not set yet. Im confused as to how some customers with TT cards received stim...but some didn't. The only valuable info we have received is from other TT customers such as myself on intuit community chat...etc. This is unacceptable and totally unprofessional. Furthermore...TT shouldn't rely on tax expert staff to post robo replies in these q&a threads. Where tf is corp.? If you dont know whats going on...at least be honest with your customers instead of leading them to believe TT and IRS are actively figuring this **bleep** out. Its insulting to customers/taxpayers. Everyone understands this is an emergency stim. & there will be some confusion. At least own up to it instead of keeping everyone on the hook. Rant over....

April 15, 2020

The Get My Payment site is operating smoothly and effectively. As of mid-day today, more than 6.2 million taxpayers have successfully received their payment status and almost 1.1 million taxpayers have successfully provided banking information, ensuring a direct deposit will be quickly sent. IRS is actively monitoring site volume; if site volume gets too high, users are sent to an online “waiting room” for a brief wait until space becomes available, much like private sector online sites. Media reports saying the tool “crashed” are inaccurate.

In situations where payment status is not available, the app will respond with “Status Not Available”.  The IRS reminds users you may receive this message for one of the following reasons:

  • If you are not eligible for a payment (see IRS.gov on who is eligible and who is not eligible)
  • If you are required to file a tax return and have not filed in tax year 2018 or 2019.
  • If you recently filed your return or provided information through Non-Filers: Enter Your Payment Info on IRS.gov. Your payment status will be updated when processing is completed.
  • If you are a SSA or RRB Form 1099 recipient, SSI or VA benefit recipient – the IRS is working with your agency to issue your payment; your information is not available in this app yet.

You can check the app again to see whether there has been an update to your information.  The IRS reminds taxpayers that Get My Payment data is updated once per day, so there’s no need to check back more frequently.

The IRS continues to closely monitor the situation. In addition, more information will be shared on IRS.gov shortly on some common questions taxpayers are asking.

Seems to be a massive cover up of a huge problem. We did not receive our stimulus. IRS site confirms that we qualify, but they did not have my banking info.  I filed thru Turbo Tax in March. I provided my banking info which was used for my "payment" that the IRS withdrew from my account on 4/1. I hear through news reports that there was a glitch. TURBO TAX REMAINS SILENT. THEY SHOULD HAVE RELEASED COMMUNICATION!! 20 years and out with Turbo Tax unless they cough up an explanation.

@bradley3 - did you have the fees subtracted from your refund by Turbo tax or take out a loan advance? it's not really a 'glitch'... it's a function on how those products work ....please see this article.

this is the IRS FAQ on this:

The Get My Payment application will return "Payment Status Not Available" for several reasons, including:

  • You are required to file a tax return, but:
    • We haven't finished processing your 2019 return
    • The application doesn't yet have your data; we’re working on adding more data to allow more people to use it.
  • You don't usually file a return, and:
    • You used Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here but we haven’t processed your entry yet
    • You receive an SSA or RRB Form 1099 or SSI or VA benefits; information has not been loaded onto our systems yet for people who don’t normally file a tax return.
  • You’re not eligible for a payment (see Eligibility).

We update Get My Payment data once per day, overnight so there is no need to check more often. If you are eligible for a payment and have provided your information either through a recent tax return or the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here application, please check back for updates.
