I spend an hour and a half in hold with H&R Block because I need to use my 2019 income because my 2020 is lower. What I found out....They didn’t build that option into their software and IT is working on the issue. It may be a week or better before it will be resolved.
Has anyone used taxslayer for form 7202, used 2019 income, and e-filed? I am not looking forward to going through another system only to find out it is a no-go again.
At least H&R Block recognized there was a problem! When I was on the phone with them, they were clueless.
I've started to put in my info into TaxSlayer. Their entry for form 7202 allows you to adjust income, so you can basically get it to last year's number that way.
Unfortunately, I'm currently stuck going into the state return: "Oops, There was an error loading your state return. Please try again." Over and over. Not very promising.
So, Just to be clear, I can not efile my taxes if I need the 7202? Or are you saying to file that portion separately?
I'm having the exact same problems as you are. HR Block will not let me enter my 2019 income on the 7202 and Taxslayer continually kicks me out with "Oops, there was an error loading your form 8829 please try again". Happened a dozen times. Left them an email and went on to my state return. Same message there. "Oops". I don't think Taxslayer will work for me. The questions are not accurate for my business on form 8829 either.
I'm having the same issue as you with HR Block. Taxslayer is not working for me either. (see post above)
I wish this could be efiled
so are u saying we will be able to use this form but not till April 1st???
@Nish13: TurboTax will not let you e-file at all with Form 7202, or at least that's what they're saying right now. It seems that H&R Block will let you, but it has shortcomings with the credit as well. It seems that TaxSlayer may be the best bet, but their site is buggy and I haven't been able to get through my state return yet.
@Gunnerlue15: I don't think anybody said anything about waiting till April 1st?
Thank You
You're welcome.
Does anyone know if it is possible to export my entire return so I can send it to a tax preparer who uses Turbo Tax Pro Version and can attach a PDF of Form 7202?
I am an amployee of a contractor and here its saying i need to fill out a 7202. Im i qualified for this form?
@Raiseyourjoys: You can print out your TurboTax return (or get it as a PDF) before filing, but only if you pay the TurboTax fee first. I think that means you'd basically have to pay twice 😒
You might qualify. Under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, if you are a self employed person including those who receive a 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC, and if you were not able to work or telework due to reasons related to the coronavirus, you are eligible for this Sick Leave and Family Leave credits. You would need to file a Form 7202 to figure the amount to claim for the credit.

As of today, the form is available for e-file.
@LinaJ2020 Are you certain Form 7202 is available for e-file today? That would be great news if true. However, I just now went to review my return in TurboTax and it's still saying I will be unable to e-file because of Form 7202.
